Mathemotion – the formula of the suffering for love

SufferingsFormula

When thinking a little about some emotional mathematics, I think I finally found the formula of the suffering for love.

The “s” represents the unit of suffering. When positive, means sorrow, when negative, means the complete absence of suffering (not exactly a joy, but an insouciance, an indifference).

The “d” represents the distance between you and the person you love. This is measured in meters.

The “t” represents the time on which you’re calculating this. If you’re near the person, the “t” is the time you stay near him/her; if you’re far from that person, the “t” is the time you stay far. The time is measured in minutes.

The “L” represents the level of Love you have for that person. It can be any value between -10 and +10. “-10″ if you totally hate that person, and +10 if you completely love that one with all of your strength.

Let’s see some examples (with ficticious names):

Dave’s love for Anna is in a level about +7  (L=7);

Dave is going to a trip to stay 2 days away from Anna, that is 2880 minutes (t=2880);

The distance he’s going to be is about 200km, that is 200000 meters (d=200000);

s = d^d/t . L

s = 200000^200000/2880 . 7

You’re probably thinking: “that’s ridiculous, any distance over 10 meters will result a huge value when putting this number as exponent of itself!”

Yes, you’re right! When you love someone, any distance over 10 meters really matters to you!

So, Dave’s suffering will be so much that he couldn’t wait to get back and see Anna again!

Another example:

Mary’s love for John is in a level about +9 (L=9);

Not like Dave, neither Mary or John will travel.

They will meet and pass some time together.

They’ll stay together for 4 hours, that is 240 minutes (t=240);

As they are together, the distance between them is zero (d=0);

The formula is:

s = d^d/t . L

s = 0^0/240 . 9;

s = 1/240 . 9

s = 0,0375

Remember, even if they are close to each other (0 meters), zero with the exponent zero is equal to one!

If it was just zero, the formula would result in zero! But when you love someone, your suffering is never 0, because you know that sometime you’ll have to leave and you won’t be beside each other (0 meters) forever.

With this formula, the closer you are, the longer you wish to be beside the person you love!

When you’re near, the suffering is lower when the time you pass together is big.

But when the distance increases, the time has to be lower in order for you to suffer less.

Of course, when you dislike someone (the L unit is negative), the suffering unit becomes negative too.

The longer you pass far from this person, the more indifferent you become.

So, what’s the ideal result we’d like to have?

When the distance is always ZERO, and the time is INFINITE (∞), and the love is +10.

s = 0^0/∞ . 10

s = 1/∞ . 10

s = 0 . 10

s = 0

(1 divided by Zero approaches infinite, and 1 divided by infinite approaches Zero)

That’s our wish, to be beside the person we really love… forever!

That is, an eternal Mathemotion!
